problems installing quanta on f8 kde 3.5


i have a problem installing quanta on my f8 - kde3.5.
after unpacking the file, i go to the directory, put ./configure it runs a whie and then this error apears:

configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
what can i do?

please, me newie so be clear

tkxs a lot

ps: some will say, i should use the package manager... but i dont find it on the menu.

This is what you need to look for in your package manager kdewebdev, that provides the quanta app. Or you can download it from here: If you choose to download it from rpmfind, you can install it by either clicking on the file to launch your package manager or as root from the console with: rpm -ivh kdewebdev-3.5.9-2.fc8.i386.rpm.
