Problems Installing openh323

I'm having problems installing openh323 & wondered if anyone else has had similar problems or could confirm what I'm doing right/wrong.

Ive now tried compiling on 2 separate machines.

1 I have edited the /etc/ file & entering

/home/openh323/lib (The paths of the 2 library directories)

2 Entering, from the console, PWLIBDIR=/home/pwlib
export OPENH323DIR

However I think I did this after installing pwlib.

Make command wise Im using:-

Pwlib - ./configure
Make both

Openh323 - ./configure
Make opt

Im doing all this logged in as root. Is this correct?

For recompiling the apps Im should I be using make clean xxxxx?

I look forward to hearing any responses and sorry again for asking what must be such simple problems.
