Problems installing Gnomemeeting

I'm running RH 7.2 and the rpms are made available but they seem to be useless . What do I need to start compiling the source code for GNU things.

Every time I try, there always seems to be another file missing, or environment variable not set...and I don't how to set env variables I don't think

Please help...If I can get this to work I will be able to do almost everything I need in Linux.
