problems installing

I downloaded the fedora core3 iso images onto the 4 discs, and tried to boot off the 1st one but can't. the screen goes black, then i see a cursor and that's it. it won't respond to any commands except ctl+alt+delete which boots it to windows. (i'm trying to install a duel-boot system) i thought it might be a memory problem, but i have enough hard drive space, and enough RAM to install it in text mode but it still doesn't work... any help would be awesome... i'm out of ideas

Gateway 2000 G6-266M
64M RAM
5.4ish free hard drive

It could be the ISO that are bad. I would download the ISO images again and give it a try.
