Hi everyone, as I said in the title of my reply, I am having almost the same problems installing Ubuntu. I have a PC that I want to dedicate to the installation and use of Linux, I am ready to even installed as the only OS in this PC. I had windows XP on this machine but I want to just get rid of it and launch my Linux adventure but I am running in the situation that even though I follow all the instructions in the download page of Ubuntu.com, something is just not doing what it is suppossed to. After the downloading is done, and I get the icon for the application for Linux and click on it, nothing happens. Should I just format the driver, buy or burn a Linux CD or should I just keep looking around for a better download?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
PS. The reason I am posting this problem here is because I could not find a way of posting my questions in a new thread. I apologize for this inconvenience.
