Problems compiling kernel (gentoo on ppc)

Hello all. at the moment, i am trying to install gentoo onto an ibook (600mhz g3). however, regardless of whether i compile manually or use genkernel, i get some nasty little errors that i can't seem to find any info on. here is the latest result while attempting to compile with genkernel:

looks like your /etc/fstab might be messed up. could you post that?

unfortunately no. i need that machine up so i was forced to put osx back on it for the time being. i am considering trying netbsd but i am very unfamilar with it and how easy/difficult getting the airport card to work is. i have set it up with two partitions, one with osx and one to be used during the next attempt at another os but i wouldn't be able to attempt it untill next thursday when i get some time off.
