I am a newbie to linux. I have been using yum to install programs, and thought i would have a look a yumex. I have installed it but when running it, it comes up with this error message...

Error Type: <class 'yum.update_md.UpdateNoticeException'>
Error Value: No id element found
File : /usr/share/yumex/ , line 737, in <module>
mainApp = YumexApplication()
File : /usr/share/yumex/ , line 446, in __init__
File : /usr/share/yumex/ , line 467, in setupYum
File : /usr/share/yumex/ , line 80, in _setupBase
File : /usr/share/yumex/ , line 137, in _setupUpdateMetadata
File : /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/yum/ , line 319, in add
un = UpdateNotice(elem)
File : /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/yum/ , line 69, in __init__
File : /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/yum/ , line 146, in _parse
raise UpdateNoticeException("No id element found")

I am not very good at reading this, but am trying to learn. Please could someone explain why this is happening and how to fix it please.
