Question Problem with users on Ubuntu 11.10

I have put Ubuntu on my laptop. I went into users, made a new administrator user then set my original user to standard. Now it says that the new user is not activated and when I try to unlock the user control it asks me for the password of the new user and I didnt set one. Any help on fixing it? I really don't know what to do :-(
