Problem with Soundcard-Worked good with Redhat.Problem with Mandrake

hai Guys,

I am a new bie just installed Mandrake linux actually switched from Redhat linux.Before I cud play sound files.But now even the player shows the song is being played.There is no response in Speakers.
Please guide me in resolving my problem

Sound cards in linux are likely to be muted. Make sure that your card is unmuted.
