Problem with red hat

Hi,

I have a old version of Red Hat(6.1) and I have tried to install it on my workstation. When I install it it all seems fine until it reboots as normal but then displays a message:

Localhost login:

???? It seems to me that it is looking for a server, as there is no mention in the setup about this. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled but to no end.

Any ideas how to get round this, Ive tried entering my username and password but with no luck this is stopping me using this software.

Any ideas??????

Also has anyone had any problems with SuSE 8.1 with installing as the boot screen always seems blank! (My Pcs 4 years old).

Cheers

I answered this in the Linux Software forum! Please don't ask the same question in several forums. This will get you nowhere.

As you can see there are people like me who browse most of these categories.
