Problem with my SATA disk while installing
 
I'm completely new to linux.I tried to install FC3.My processor is AMD 64.But FC3 is not detecting my hdd.Can u help me...

The standard kernel on the Fedora Core 3 CD's or DVD doesn't support SATA drives.

The best thing you can do is to get the latest Fedora Core 5 or OpenSuse 10.1, which support all current hardware.

You can also compile your own kernel, but FC3 is soon out of support, also with now-a-day hardware you probably will have more problems with audio, video and other devices.
