problem with modern

+ My modern is actived, but when i try to connect, it notice that modern not found. ( or "your modern is busy")
+ i used kppp to connect to Internet, but after appear a message "veryfying user name and password" i was noticed that the host computer doesn't accept the protocol. What can I do.

I've tried, but I have not yet connected to Internet using Linux (fedora core 1). Help me!

Your "modern"? Do you mean by any chance your "MODEM"?
If so try finding more details at If they aren't enough post your modem type here and I'll try to help you.

Which kind of modem do you have? The error looks like if there's no driver for it.
