Problem With Lag on Linux-image version 4.x.x


I have been having problems in lag since forever.

The lag has been approximately one minute, which is unacceptable for me.

I am wondering if the problem is related to the fact that I have not, yet, migrated to DREADFUL UEFI nonsense.

As you can see, there is a lag of approximately 65 seconds.

Again, is this related to my NON-UEFI thingy, or is there some other problem?

PS: my computer is named Shatner, as in William Shatner, the one true Captain of the Enterprise!

In the brackets is a timer, the difference between the second to the last time (0.245154) and the last entry (0.805853) is about (.0560699), thus the irritating lag.

OKOK the lag was about 56 seconds rather than 65 seconds... so sue me.... STILL, where is that damnable lag coming from?
I haven't used that horrible UEFI functionality yet, could that be my problem?

OK. I see what you mean. Nevertheless, while the log is being written and changing, the monitor shows a lag. So, while you are correct that there is no lag, why doesn't my monitor change for about a minute. This is only on version 4.X.X and never on version 3.X.X

Define monitor lag - no change. At what point the monitor stops changing? Does it black out for a minute? Is it during system boot or when X loads? We are not there watching over your shoulder.

It just hangs. It acts as if it was "stuck". no blanking, no nothing.
