problem with installation of RHL9


i m trying to install a RHL9 on my 40GB HDD
i get the msg 'there is no enough space to install' even though i have enough free space.
my partition scheme is

/boot 100mb
/home 500mb
/ 500mb
swap 600mb
/var 1gb
/tmp 1 gb
/usr remaining space

I think / is too small (only 500MB). If its a home system, maybe all you need is swap, / and /home. Also Redhat 9 is now an obsolete distro and is no longer recieving any support and updates from Redhat. Try its replacement Fedora Core.
