problem with gaim and net in ubuntu 5.1


when I am opening sites like mail.yahoo.com its opening but when i am trying to sign into my mail the progress bar is going blank and its not signing in should i modify anything to sign in?

when i am trying to sign in to my yahoo account using gaim its says access denied: proxy server forbits port 5050 tunnelling . But yahoo messenger opens in windows . can any one tell me whats the problem??
