problem with fontconfig while installing gtk.please help
 

hi,
i am using fedora core 3.
i was trying to install gtk.i also had a binary file for minimo browser(minimogtk2x.tar.gz).it was working properly and i was able to access web sites.
for installing gtk,i installed
pkg-config-0.15.0,jpeg-v6b,zlib-1.2.2,tiff-v3.5.7,png-1.2.7,freetype-2.1.4,expat-1.95.0 and fontconfig-2.2.3 .all was fine and minimo was working properly till i installed fontconfig-2.2.3.
after i installed fontconfig,the font of minimo got changed and the minimo browser window closes itself showing a floating point error.
i was not able to access any site and the web page was not loading at all .
can anyone suggest a solution
please help.

take out fontconfig-2.2.3 ... do a purge to make sure it's all gone if just removing it doesn't help.

and use sbackup (simple backup) from now on, it's easy, powerful, graffical and it works.

but if i remove this fontconfig,will gtk work.will it take the fontconfig library already present.

i dont' know.. that is why i said make sure you have backups.

but i don't think so.. just don't do a purge-- until you have done a simple remove...

then, if that doesn't work.. try purging it tooo. :)
