Problem with fedora 11 when upgrade my fedora10

Hello.
I've got a problem with the upgrade when I use a cd to upgrade fedora 10 to fedora 11.
Yesterday I've maneged to download fedora11 and store it in a cd, choose 1、Install or upgrade an existing system.all done successfully, but, after I reboot the system, Instead to switching to the login screen, the screen remains :

Input: ImExPS/2 Generic Explorer Mouse as /devices/platform/i8042/serio1/input4

just remaining like this.Help me,I have my important documents in computer and cann't reinstall the system.

Unplug your mouse and use it in a text environment, see if it boots that way, or gives you a further error.

If it doesn't, the mouse/ PS2 driver needs updating, if it does then its a further problem

I unplug the mouse, the word disappear, thank you. but, screen still remains the following:

what's the problem? and how to update the mouse/ PS2 driver?

jamescondron 06-10-2009 09:16 PM

To be honest, I'm unsure; PS/2 ought to work right out of the box, its pretty much standard. Try a dbus update, that looks like thats where the problem is coming from

Right, lets do this the way I should have done it in the first place; some system details please

CZTY 06-10-2009 09:30 PM

dbus update is too hard for me, system details, eh,its fedora, and I mostly not use text environment

jamescondron 06-10-2009 09:32 PM

No, I mean the system it's self; laptop, desktop, sever. Processor speed, RAM, Mouse type.

System Details

CZTY 06-10-2009 09:38 PM

the fist screen shows:
desktop,Processor AMD Athlon(tm)64*2 dual 4000+ memory DDR2667 single channel 64bit
I cann't see the Mouse type.

jamescondron 06-10-2009 09:39 PM

Well you're sitting in front of the thing, what kind of mouse do you have?

EDIT: As in, does it connect via PS/2? USB?

CZTY 06-10-2009 09:44 PM

I use my classmate's pc,mine is desktop and I have use linux since fedora 9 but I don't konw much.the Mouse type is probably ps/2

CZTY 06-10-2009 09:49 PM

I want to ask one thing, whether can I use my fedora10disk to upgrade my now fedora 11 to 10?or how to use the "Rescue installed system " to copy and save my data?

jamescondron 06-10-2009 09:54 PM

As in a downgrade? If you want to do that, get your data off and reinstall, easiest way

CZTY 06-10-2009 10:04 PM

I think downgrade is bad way,and probably it won"t work, my system refuses to log in and I didn't konw why this problem appeares, the fedora11 should be better than fedora 10 but the new problem make me helpless. unplug the mouse is right the solution to the question, but another question-remaing"_",no word-comes up,it's really boring.

jamescondron 06-10-2009 10:08 PM

Boring? See, to me, this is a puzzle, and puzzles are always good for beating boredom. Installations go wrong for many different reasons all the time. Back your data up and try a fresh install, with the mouse plugged in of course.
