Problem with Bootable Flash Drive
I am new to Linux & want to try Mint on a bootable flash drive. I downloaded the newest edition of mint (cinnamon) 64bit ISO from linux.com and used the tool Pendrivelinux.com. I used MD5 and SHA Checksum Utility to check the file and #'s matched. Was able to boot using usb drive but it doesn't show Mint, just black screen with scrolling white writing and then stops and just sits. I'm running Windows7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1 on Acer Aspire 5560-Quad Core AMD A-6-3420 M APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.50 GhZ Ram memory 6.00GB System type 64-bit OS.

These lines repeat again. Don't know if this is important but will list them anyway..these are listed under one of my settings when I hit F12 to go in and change my boot order: Quiet Boot -Enabled Net Boot -Enabled F12 Boot Menu-Enabled D2D Recovery- Enabled SATA Mode: [AHCI mode]
Sorry this post is so long but I am not familiar with all this lingo and didn't want to miss something that might point out the problem to those trying to help me.
I tried this with Ubuntu and it did the same thing. I hope someone can help me b/c I am so tired of dealing with Windows. A technician told me he could install Mint for me for $50-60 but I would like to try it first. I appreciate any help you might offer.
