problem with boot menue

I have a computer equipped with an athlon 1800 and epox 8k3A mainboard. As OS I have winxp pro (hd1) and suse 8.2 (hd2) running. Since I made an update of my bios, I get this following message when I try to start winxp (via Grub)

root (hd0,0)
Filesystem type unknown, partition type 0x7
chainloader +1

What I did was first to clear my CMOS, then I installed XP as well as Suse again. But still, this message pops up again and stops me from using xp.

As I am a complete newbie, I dont have any clue what this means...

Can somebody please tell me what to do?

Thank you very much,
Horenstein
