Problem wid Desktop Effects in Suse 11.1
 

Hi Guys,

I installed Suse 11.1 recently.Everything is very good except the thing that desktop effects are being disabled automatically every time I see a video in vlc(or totem) and even when I insert a CD(also in some other cases).I have to reenable my desktop effects by system->look and feel->desktop effects.This is not happening always but most of the times..Plz temme if this is a bug or incompatability problem.I installed Nvidia drivers thr 1-click install availabe at Open Suse official site.So I dnt thnk its a problem.Plz help me...

System Configuration:
Dell Vostro 1500 model
Ram DDR2 2GB
Intel Core2Duo 1.60MHz
Nvidia Graphic Card 8400

I had the same problem, it seems the preinstalled compiz has some problems.
I suggest you uninstall compiz and install the latest version from the build service.
