problem regards luks format

hi everyone .... i am new to linux therefore dont mind the type of questions i ask.. i have made a luks encrypted partition and it works fine but when i want to close the partition with the command

cryptsetup luksClose /dev/mapper/secret

it gives me error : "Device /dev/mapper/secret is busy"

any suggestions????

You can't close if any process has it open. That includes being your current path in the shell. Use cd to change to /.

did you unmount it first?
