Problem printing in 11.2 via Samba to Epson AL C1100

I was able to print via Samba to my Epson Colour Laser AL C1100 attached to a Windows box in OpenSuse 11.0 by installing a couple of files from Avasys, PSUtils and LibStdC++.

This does not work in 11.2: the Avasys files ask for LibStdC++.so.5 which is not quite the library offered by the DVD. I have tried to add this from elsewhere without success.

I have tried both 32 and 64bit versions of 11.2 and I can print in exactly the same way to a different printer.

Has anyone any idea what is going on here?
