Unhappy problem mounting video and audio CDs on FC3

hi,
i am a complete newbie .
i cant mount video and audio cds on my FC3.
error shown is
input/output error can't read superblock.
i somehow mounted a vcd using -t iso9660 option but i can't do any thing with the files on the cd except seeing the files and folders.
even the files in mpegav folder were being shown in vcd folder.

whereas i am able to play all similar .dat files . even the movie file on that vcd if copied on some other cd , can be played.

please help..
thank u

you can't mount an audio cd as they don't have a filesystem. you just use a program to play them. not sure about vcds

input/output error can't read superblock.

i think ur cd has some error.
let us do this step.
#dd conv=noerror if=/dev/hdc of=/home/USERDIR/cdrom.iso
this will create .iso file of ur data in cd-rom.this could over come if any error in cd-rom/rw.
then then mount it anywhere else.

#mount /home/USERDIR/cdrom.iso /mnt/cdrom -o loop
and navigate to /mnt/cdrom .ur files are ready now.

hope this will work.let me know.
