Problem mounting drive on Network install

I am trying to install Mandrake Linux 9.2 over a network. I can boot from the floppy properly and get as far as the point where it asks for the nfs server name and path. the network name of the computer I am trying to install it from is "Newdell" and the complete path (from windows) is "\\Newdell\Mandrake\i586". I entered in the server feild "Newdell" and in the path feild "Mandrake\i586", I click ok and I get a "I cannot mount network drive" error. The server is a Dell p4 running windows XP, NTFS file system, the computer I am trying to install on is a P1 that was running Win98 before I formatted it, when they were both running Windows they had no problem communicating over my network if that helps. Any suggestions on resolving it? Anything is much appreciated

For a network install you need to use either nfs, http, or ftp. Windows servers use smb as a network file protocol. You can install unix services for windows which includes an NFS server for windows and export the directory with that.
