problem installing x development package

I use Ubuntu 5.04 on an AMD Athlon64 processor. I downloaded the source for the x development package from debian.org. When I unpacked the tarballs and ran make World, it worked fine. But, when I do make install, I get the following error:

XlcDL.c:64:4: #error "Unknown architecture"
make[3]: *** [XlcDL.o] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/pkgs/x11-dev/sources/xfree86_4.3.0.dfsg.1.orig.tar.gz_FILES/xfree86-4.3.0/xfree86-4.3.0.tar.gz_FILES/xc/lib/X11'
make[2]: *** [install] Error 2

Please help.

Ubuntu uses xorg and not xfree86. You need to install the xorg libs or developemnt files using synaptic.
