Problem-installing Weblogic 7.0 in Enterprise 3.0

Hi All,

I have downloaded the server702_linux.bin and used the command
chmod a+x server702_linux.bin and then ./server702_linux.bin.

The following Error message has come after initial extraction of 100%:

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Unable to load native library: /tmp/fileZEGxEa/jdk131_06/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol __libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference.

Can somebody throw light on this issue, i am totally puzzled about the situation.

We are trying to install Weblogic Portal Server 7.0 on Red hat Linux 9.0. We are new to Linux env. Is there is any documentation or support available how this is done. The Linux 9.0 is installed on Intel machine

Any info/help on this will be of great use to us.

Use the below command to find out whether you have installed libc.so.6 library. If not, Install this binary and try.

rpm -qal|grep libc.so.6
