problem installing mandriva LE 2005 for x86-64 (dvd)

Hi everyone,

i'm having problem at the beginning of the installation with my new pc. Had similar problem with the 3 cd version for i586 (both versions should work in theory). i can't even reach the partition editing step of the installation. It halts with a "exited abnormally received signal 11" message. Tried text mode and also pci:nobios option at boot with same exact result. Here's a short description of my system:

Motherboard: ASUS MB 939 VIA K8T800PR
Processor: AMD A64 3500+ 939PIN 512K
Video card: ATI RADEON X800 XL PCI-E 256MB
RAM: 2 * 512M DDR PC400
+ standard keyboard and mouse
+ 8 in 1 card reader

Works fine with windows xp + service pack 2

Thanks for any help or hint of a solution...
