Problem installing Java on Fedora Core 4

Hello,
The problem linux tells me is this:

Cannot open jre-1_5_0_04-linux-i586-rpm.bin

The filename "jre-1_5_0_04-linux-i586-rpm.bin" indicates that this file is of type "unknown". The contents of the file indicate that the file is of type "shell script". If you open this file, the file might present a security risk to your system.

Do not open the file unless you created the file yourself, or received the file from a trusted source. To open the file, rename the file to the correct extension for "shell script", then open the file normally. Alternatively, use the Open With menu to choose a specific application for the file.

It is probably very simple for any of you to solve, but for me, having installed linux last night, I have no clue what this means... How do I rename the file to the correct extension for ''shell script'' ? or what can I use to open it with.

Thanks.

You can run from xterm:
Code:

sh jre-1_5_0_04-linux-i586-rpm.bin

ok, that worked perfectly, thanks.
now I have another problem lol.. I needed java to install limewire, now that limewire is installed it says I have a firewall blocking it... How do I let limewire through my firewall? I dont know that much about ports if thats what it will take but I might be able to do it... I'm also behind a router which has DMZ disabled. So what do I do now? How do I access the linux firewall (there is one.. right? lol)
thanks again.
