Problem installing from Fedora 17 x86_64 DVD (W8 dual boot)

Hi,I'm trying to install Fedora 17 x86_64 with bootable dvd. I'm using windows 8 with intel motherboard i5 processor and I want dual boot.
But the problem is..
Code:

ERROR: could not insert 'floppy': No such device
Loading Fedora 17 x86_64 installer ...
rpcbind: rpcbind terminating on signal. Restart with "rpcbind -w"

How I solve it?

a few things:

#1, instead of Fedora 17, user Fedora 18, it is the current OS and much better then 17.
#1a F18 is a complete remake on the installer so heads up

#2, floppy drives are no longer supported by default from what I have read and understad.

#3, the larger problem is Win8 and the fact that it attempts to BLOCK all other OSs from being installed on the computer including other MS OSs.

#4, Fedora 18 should be able to get around your issues.

good luck.

Have you tested with live-cd?
Did this computer come with W8 preinstalled?

Testing with a LIVE DVD/CD is a good way to see what's really going on-

lleb is right + +
Fedora 18 should get around those issues.
