Problem installing c++ rpm

Hi, I recently installed Mandrake 10.1 Community, but it doesn't seem to have c++ compiling capabilities, only c. It doesn't understand the g++ command, but does know what gcc is. I have downloaded the gcc-c++ rpm, but it doesn't seem to want to install. How can I install the package, and what else would I need to be able to compile c++???
Thanks

care to explain "want to install" ??? you should be using "rpm -Uvh gcc-c++-blah.rpm" to install it.
