problem installing ActiveTCL

I am installing ActiveTCL 8.3.4.2 on Fedora Core 4. When the installer asks me to select the location for installation, irrespective of whichever directory i choose, it gives me an error message " the chosen path /usr/local/activetcl does not provide enough space for the installation of ActiveTCL."
I get the same message irrespective of the directory i choose to install.
I have 4.5 GB of free space on the linux partion.
Whatz wrong??
