Problem in mounting cd rom in KDE
I need for your help to solve a big problem with my KDE desktop.
Every time I try to mount my CD-ROM device with a double click on the corresponding icon on my desktop, the system try to load the application NOATUM and suddenly it gives me a application crash report. How can I configure the system to load Konqueror when I double click on the CD-ROM icon. Please note that, at the moment, I have installed on my pc the mandrake 9.1 distribution! Thank you in advance to whom will aid me to solve this problem.  |
well
you might try Configuration/KDE/Components/File Associations |
If noatun was spawned, then it was an audio CD. If it is a data CD, with a filesystem, then Konqueror would be the one that loads. Why noatun is crashing, I don't know. I use kscd. Somewhere in the Preferences section is the ability to have KDE start any program you specify when an audio CD is inserted. I set mine to kcsd with 'Start Playing Automatically', and it is now seamless.

thank you very much to all. In effect, as suggested by RoalledOat, all began when I configure the system to enable the automatic start of kcsd when the drive read an audio cd. Now I have solved the problem changing the file association for opening the directory. I don't know why, but the first application for this task was noatum!!!!!
Thanks again and keep you well! |
