problem in mounting a partition from remote box


I am working with 2 RH boxes.

I am trying to mount one linux box's one drive ( to another linux box
but it is giving timed out error

command looks like this

[root@localhost /]# mount /mnt/rob/
mount: RPC: Timed out

can somebody help me in mounting that particular partition in my local box.

run portmap on each box

its not some strange hacking program it is used during nfs mounts.

I also use NFS between my two boxes.
I followed this HOW-TO to configure them and they're working perfectly.
