Dear friends,

Let me tell you the real scenario which i am facing as a problem while i am loading linux7.3.

Actually i have windows98 as an active partition in my pc. And i have installed linux 7.3 in my system. So the /boot is installed in hda2 and / is installed in hda3. Both are primary partition. And swap partition is installed in hda5 which is an extended partition.
After finishing my installation, I am getting linux7.3's congratulation screen. But when i boot the machine first time in linux, there is no problem in booting. It calls the linux kernel too.... But after that it get stuck by showing the following three lines.....

Redhat Linux 7.3
Press I to Interactive mode

Mounting proc file system [OK]
Unmounting init filesystem [OK]
kernel configuration [OK]

It's not continuing after this line. So i have pressed ^C. When i press ^C, i have seen the following message.

/etc/fstab can't able to write into /etc/fstab.NEW : Read only file system.

And then it continues and again get stuck by showing the following line.

After that i can't do anything. I have installed around 5 times. Every time i am getting the same problem.....


I hope anyone will solve my problem......
