You're missing the required public keys
Code:
W: GPG error: http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb stable Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 6494C6D6997C215E
W: GPG error: http://repo.mongodb.org/apt/debian wheezy/mongodb-org/3.0 Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 9ECBEC467F0CEB10
You need to add these to your key ring

Either that or
Code:
apt-cache search unetbootin
and see what package is listed

Did you run:
Code:
$ apt-get update
after you added the repo?

edit: Yep, I guess you did.

You're doing the correct commands. But try apt-cache search as recommended by TheEzekielProject in #2.

Second section of code.

Thanks for your reply

I ran the command i.e.

Code:
apt-cache search unetbootin
but still the same error.

I added the key for chrome but didn't find for mongodb

results:
Code:
sudo apt-get update

adding ppas on debian systems - has nobody noticed that?
in clear words: ppas are for ubuntu. you are using debian. if you run 'apt-get upgrade' after adding these ppas, you are giving birth to a frankendebian - or a zombie - it moves, it boots, it works, it walks, but really it is dead already.

also see http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=114130

remove the ppa from your sources, re-run the 'apt update'.

unetbootin has a reputation for being patchy and i think there's a reason why it's not in stretch (or at least i'm supposing that is the reason why you are trying to get it from a ubuntu ppa).

depends - what do you want to achieve?
what have you searched - both in repositories and on the wild web?

my recommendation:
Code:
dd

Harshit_24,

If you are trying to create a bootable USB drive then, as ondoho advises, it is a good idea to use the dd command.

NB Do be aware that used incorrectly, the dd command (known as the disk destroyer) can wipe your existing system!!

You have been warned.

For detailed information, look at post #14 on:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-a-4175584759/

Do take care!

If all you want is to be able to create bootable USBs then try mintstick. Mintstick will not only write and image, it'll also format the USB stick first. It's what I'm using in stretch.

You can get mintstick here:

http://packages.linuxmint.com/list.php?release=Sonya

I install it with gdebi.

Then I frequently have to also install "python-gobject" to get it to work.
