After installation and java path setting. Whenever I try java/javac command in command prompt.. I am getting

So I tried uninstallation using command "rpm -e j2sdk-1.4.2_10-fcs" but it exit with the following status...

error: %postun(j2sdk-1.4.2_10-fcs.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 0

why don't you try java 1.5.0_06?

for the postuninstall script failing you can use "rpm -e --nopostun"
