problem in "configuring" Gaim
Hello all,
i downloaded ..........gaim-1.0.2.tar.bz2.................
after extracting it......when i'm configuring it ...............it's complaining about "GLIB"........that it can't
find "GLIB"...........
so i downloaded "GLIB"....extracted it well.......configured it........make.........make install.....
but again i'm not being able to "configure" the gaim...
i don't know where is the problem.
all the executables of glib are in /usr/local/bin..........and it's in the "echo $PATH"
...
i'm on RED HAT 8

As root in a terminal. You may need to add the entire
path for your distribution.

root@james:/home/mingdao# /sbin/ldconfig

Don't you have Gaim as an *.rpm on your Redhat cd? If not go to: http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/ Do a search for Gaim (u can even narrow the search down to your distro) and install that.

I thought it required you to launch it by taping "gaim" as all lower case.
