Try to create a new profile.
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles Which version of firefox are you using? Which distribution? Can you connect using another browser? Kind regards |
If that doesn't work:
In the address bar type Code:
about:config Code:
network.proxy.type Kind regards |
I did that too. The problem is that it is locked
from the web content control. I have unistalled it from my computer but the settings are still there. I need a way to act as an administrator to change these settings. Any ideas?? Thanx again for the interest.. |
Did you created new profile?
You could also delete the .mozilla directory in your home directory close firefox open a terminal and type Code:
rm -R /home/user/.mozilla |
"Permission denied" this is what i get in the terminal
You see this is why i need to log in as administrator, or something like this. |
You hav,nt said what dsistro you are using...anyway in a terminal type su then your root password to end up with a # then proceed.
ps if its Ubuntu stick a sudo in front of the commands, leave a space then the command. |
