Problem at Yast is loading
My CD-player successfully booted the Suse Linux v. 9 and a whole list of info ran down the screen finally coming to a stop at "Yast is loading" and there it stayed. I have W98SE installed on 2 gigs of space and i have freed 3gigs unpartitioned for Suse. I do not have any glitzy hardware, super 3-D graphic card etc. Just plain vanilla things with an Epson printer, external modum, Iomega Zip external. Why is doesn't then allow Yast to load is at the moment the big question. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Two possibilities come to mind. 1. You may not have enough RAM to run YaST. 2. YaST may be hanging by trying to autodetect a device which it cannot recognize. Try turning off the Iomega Zip before you boot the install CD. ___________________________________ Be prepared. I had thought of the Iomega zip giving me a problem, so i did run the Linux install through with the zip unplugged and i have 256megs of RAM. Something is holding up Yast from loading, so i guess i shall just have to mess around with it for awhile. BTW, i have C completely backed up with Ghost.
