Problem After Installing An Rpm...


HI I HAVE A PROBLEM AFTER INSTALLING OCTAVE_2.71 X86_64 AND DEBUG INFO FOR THIS VERSION ON AN AMD64 ATHLON SYSTEM
1.HOW I LINK THE EXECUTABLE TO THE TERMINAL

2.AFTER WRITING OCTAVE IN THE TERMINAL I GET THIS MASSAGE:
" ERROR WHILE LOADING SHARED LIBRARIES : libgfortran.so.0 :
CANNOT OPEN SHARED OBJECT FILE : NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY "

WHAT DOES THIS MESSSAGE MEANS AFTERALL, I 'VE ALLREADY libgfortran.so.0 installed on my system with gcc_mainline

what distro are you using?

"link to terminal" looks like it is already in your path as it tries to start but can't due to an error.

Looks like you need the fortran libraries installed too.

P.S please dont post all in caps, without tone or body language in a forum, it looks agressive as if you are shouting.

i still have problem with octave rpm

i have installed all the libs having relation with fortran but still i have the message " ERROR WHILE LOADING SHARED LIBRARIES : libgfortran.so.0 :

i use suse 10 distro

any opinions???
this thing really is getting to my neures i try to fix it two for weeks
