Prob mounting floppy

My floppy and cdrom drives don't want to mount. I formatted a floppy with ext3 and now it won't let me open it up - it says I have a bad fs or too many fs mounted.

how are you mounting them? post the commands and errors

I am running the kde desktop so I just right click on the floppy and click mount, then it says - too many fs mounted or bad fs;

try mke2fs /dev/floppy/0 <- at the prompt (you might need to try mke2fs /dev/floppy/0 1440, if it throws an error) then try mounting the floppy. What error does the cd give? is it a blank cd?

No, the cd is a cd burned on my mom's windows computer so I can transfer some downloads over. It just has data on it.
