Printing Problems using ubuntu 9.40 regarding HP Laser Jet P1005 printer
Hi there Linux friends this is new to me regarding this platform, finally got sick of the demands of Micro**** Changed 2 weeks ago and have not looked back.
Just have a small problem someone out there might be able to help with, as it is the season of Giving.
Seems as there a software glitch in the way that the Computer talks to the printer in the Ubuntu Interface, Whether i turn the printer on first or after everything is loaded it does not recognise the printer as being available and is not on line, the only way to get the Printer to work is to remove the USB Cable and put it back on while the printer is turned on i have tried to remove all printers and reinstall it again that is NO Problem, i received the proper download from HP, and Ubuntu recognised it but as allways everytime i go to print a document it comes up with Printer not available and off line...
If anybody can help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Open your file browser, navigate to /etc/cups/ssl, right click on it and choose the option "Open as root". There you will find two broken links called server.crt and server.key. Delete these links, then open your terminal and run "sudo /etc/init.d/cups start". Got it from here: http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/to...inting-broken/
