Printing problem in Vector Linux Light

Hi everyone,
I have a Samsung SCX-4300 all-in-one laser.
When I try to print a report in LibreOffice or in a text editor it is all a jumbled mess but the 'print test page' in Cups comes out flawlessly.
Any thoughts?

What happens with pdfs or ps files?
Export to pdf/ps.
'jumbled mess' in what sense?

To my surprise PDF's print perfect. The problem is LibreOffice Calc/Writer, Gnumeric, and text editors.
By jumbled I mean random lines (say every 10th) will print fine but the rest will have their heights cut off so they can't be read and the columns will be out of alignment.
