Printing from WinXP to Ubuntu Printer

I have a printer connected to Ubuntu 7.10 and I am having some trouble getting WinXP to print to it.
When I try to directly connect to it via HTTP, it tells me it can't locate the printer, and I have to use the "browse printers" option.
When I find it through browsing, I have to enter a username and password, then it tells me that it doesn't have the correct driver and that I have to install it myself.
After installing the driver, it recognizes the printer and I can view queues that are sent thru the Ubuntu box.
However, I can't seem to get Windows to print a job. It "sends" a job to the printer and nothing happens.
I get no error messages saying it couldn't print or anything and Ubuntu doesn't give any indication that any job was sent over.
There are no jobs waiting in the queue from the Windows machine in either the windows printer properties window or the Ubuntu one.

Would this have anything to do with the samba file? I am learning linux atm as well, but personally it would be the first thing I would start with...making sure that is setup right.

I am not 100% on it. But I thought I set up the Samba config correctly.
I can view the printer and network thru windows and windows thru ubuntu.
If it wasn't setup, I thought I wouldn't beable to even view them or connect to them.
Right now, I can't post my smb.conf cuz I am not at the computers I am having a problem with.

Thanks for the suggestion tho. I will get the conf on here.
