Printers become disabled
 

I have several networks printers setup on a RHEL4 server. The printers work fine for the most part but occasionally one may stop printing. When I do a 'lpstat -p PRINTERNAME' it shows the printer is disabled. The printer is still functioning because I can print to it from Windows. I issue 'cupsenable PRINTERNAME' and everthing works again. My question is why do the printers go to a disabled state in RHEL4 and is there any settings to change that will prevent this from happening.
