printer questions
 

i'm installing fedora onto a new machine. i have a network set up with win xp, me, & fedora. if i setup the printer on the fedora machine, will win be able to use, it, or vise versa? thanks.

Yea....you can use samba to share the printer as you would share it between to windose machines...

i'm really n00b.
what exactly is samba? does it come with fedora/where can i get it?

Samba is the "filesharing software" for linux. It bridges the gap between windows in unix interms of filesharing.
( the preceding is an explanation of the top of my head...anyone with sumtin better)
