Printer Problems in RH9

I am trying to print my fstab in rh9, I get the following error. any suggestions

[root@jhb root]# lp /etc/fstab
Status Information:
sending job 'root@jhb+805' to missingprinter@localhost
connecting to 'localhost', attempt 1
cannot open connection to localhost - Connection refused
Make sure LPD server is running on the server

Can you print any other files? Is the printer installed - can you print a test page using the CUPS web interface? If not, then you need to make sure it is running. What printing system are you using - CUPS or something else?

PS: RH9 is very old now, I suggest upgrading to a newer distro. If you are happy with Redhat, try Fedora (new version of redhat), the latest version is 5.

I suggest you use this command

lpr -Pprintername /etc/fstab
