Printer Problems

I run print config and set up my local printer I have under Queue type - local printer device I have /dev/lp0 under driver I have the right one for my HP G85. i have it connected VIA the paralell port set at 278 w/irq 5 I tryed to print a test with kword and since then it wont open. when i shut down it says lpd failed also auto kill fails to shut it down. on reboot it as lpd local host .computer (bad) not sure the last part is related. Any ideas? |
In KDE you have a printer configurer. Go to K--Configure--Printing
In there should be a program to reset your printer. That is probably the easiest way in the GUI I can think of. |
