Printer password protection

I'm trying to figure out how to password protect printing on my network. I have 4 computers that are networked thru a wireless router. Problem is, whenever I put in new printer cartridges they run out almost immediately. People are printing out whole novels when I'm not at work. Can anyone give me step by step instructions?

Sounds more like a user education problem, the printer should be able to log all the print jobs so use that to find the culprit and "remind" people that the printer is for work related printing.
