Printer issue
 

Using HP 1050. Never had a problem but now trying to print with only black cartridge and printer will not respond.

Please give us something to go on.

What distro and what method are you using to try to print with only the black cartridge?

Do you mean that you don't have a colour cartridge plugged in? I'm not sure that it's supposed to work under those circumstances: if it can't find a full set of cartridges, it will probably register that as a fault.
